VI oversees new body

The number of integrity bodies the Victorian Inspectorate oversees rose to 15 with the commencement of the Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission.

The Commission is an independent body responsible for managing allegations of parliamentary misconduct involving members of parliament, ministers, and parliamentary secretaries.

In relation to the Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission, the Victorian Inspectorate will:
• receive and assess complaints about the conduct of Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission and their officers
• investigate conduct
• monitor the exercise of coercive powers
• monitor compliance with procedural fairness.
